The bust of Franz Josef I, the Emperor of Austria from 1848 to 1916 and King of Hungary from 1867 to 1916, is on the face of this historic gold coin, which was first produced just prior to World War I, is now in re-strike with all coins bearing the year 1915. The impressive Austrian "Double Eagle with Crown" coat of arms appears on the reverse side. Many investors favor this coin, which contains just under an ounce of .900 fine gold.
